Cauliflower!

So today we harvested the one crazy huge cauliflower head that we had been watching for a while (there are many more now that are almost ready too) and split it up between everyone who came to help transplant brussels sprouts. We were all interested that it seemed to be tinted yellow in the middle and purple on the underside... something in the soil made it quite Williams appropriate!

And the Romanesco cauliflower has heads forming now also!

  1. Ahh! I would love to split myself in 2 and send half to Williamstown this minute. I wish that I could be there with y'all!

The cauliflower is beautiful! Did you ever wrap the heads up like dave suggested?

  2. Wish you could be here too, Sara! And no, we didn't end up tying them because they didn't seem to need extra help forming heads (and because I sort of forgot, I'm really sorry!).
